3RD CALL OF EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR THE TECHNOLOGY COOPERATION AMONG CHINA AND SPAIN
CDTI opens the period of collection of “Expressions of interest” addressed to Spanish companies wishing to collaborate with Chinese entities in any sector or technological area. The deadline for submission is Friday, December 22nd, 2017.
The Expressions of Interest will collect the intention of those Spanish Companies willing to do technological collaboration with Chinese entities. Those Expressions of Interest will be distributed in China by the country’s major technology platforms, which will help to find the most appropriate partner based on the idea presented. These platforms have a recognized prestige by the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and work in collaboration with the provincial and municipal Science and Technology Bureaus more active in these fields, as well as with the main innovative companies of the country. Once the possible partner is found, the Spanish company and the Chinese entity will enter into conversations to explore in detail the possible collaboration. The final objective would be to present a proposal for a CHINEKA international technological cooperation project and a Consortium Agreement accompanying that proposal. It should be mentioned that obtaining the international project recognition as CHINEKA is a necessary condition to be able to participate in the calls for INNOGLOBAL (*).
In the drafting of the proposals it will be necessary to provide the following information:
– Company profile, identifying the contact person responsible for the call;
– Preliminary description of the possible technological cooperation project with China for the development of innovative products/processes/services using advanced and market-oriented technologies;
– A description of the Chinese technological partner sought, highlighting those essential capacities (including technological ones) and their role in a possible project;
– A description of the Spanish company, highlighting its main capacities (including technological ones) and its role in a possible project;
– Description of the main products, currently in the market, of the Spanish company.
In order to facilitate the distribution of documentation and the search for partner, the file will be fulfilled in English.
Procedure for applying and processing of the Expressions of Interest
Spanish companies interested in presenting an expression of interest must fill the form “R&D Collaborative proposal” in English, and send it to the email account email@example.com. Doubts or clarifications can be directed to the same email address.
In case that the Spanish company has already identified a potential partner, it can also participate in this process, informing of the identity of that partner to be able to expedite the process of presentation of a CHINEKA project.
Once that the possible partners have been identified, the Spanish company will receive information concerning the Chinese entity, such as: Company name; Website; Contact details; Description of the company and its capabilities. From that moment, the preparation of the CHINEKA proposal will follow the usual channels of the program. You can find more information at the following link.
This collection of expressions of interest does not imply any legal commitment, or of any other type between the participating companies and CDTI. CDTI does not guarantee the success of the partner search and the company is not committed to the future presentation of a CHINEKA project. We remind you that the data presented in the form “R&DCollaborative proposal” will be made available to the Chinese collaborating organizations in the partner search, being able to be disseminated to any interested entity.
In order to facilitate contacts between companies of both countries there are a number of international events and technology fairs in China with access to B2B meetings. CDTI periodically facilitates this information on its Web site (link). If there were a significant number of Spanish companies interested in an event and a business association that could collect these interests, CDTI could support a technological mission to the country with a travel add per participant of up to €2 080.
(*) The 2018 INNOGLOBAL 2018 call will be made public foreseeably in the coming months. This tool aims to promote the international technological cooperation of Spanish companies through improvements in the financial conditions in the projects with international recognition. As a reference, direct subsidies of up to 50% for SMEs, 40% MIDCAPS, and 30% for the rest of the companies were granted in the last call. You can consult the text of 2017 call in the following link.
