|PROJECT DESCRIPTION||The objective of the PhD Program in Biotechnology and Genetic Resources of Plants and Associated Microorganisms from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) is to train PhD students to have an excellent knowledge of the functioning of living things related to agro-food and forestry and the industrial processes which are involved. They will also be capable of leading the new activities in Research, Development and Technological Innovation (I + D + i) in fields such as biotechnology, agriculture, food and environmental technologies.
CBGP is a joint venture between the UPM and INIA and has recently been awarded the Severo Ochoa Centre of Research Excellence research by the Spanish government.
|RESEARCH GROUP DESCRIPTION||The Program is given by renowned researchers from different departments of the UPM’s School of Agriculture (ETSIAAB) as well from the Instituto Nacional de Investigación y Tecnología Agraria yAalimentaria (INIA), Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC) and the Instituto Madrileño de Investigación y Desarrollo Rural, Agrario y Alimentario (IMIDRA).|
