PROJECT DESCRIPTION | Nowadays, even though cognitive control architectures form an important area of research, there are many constraints on the broad application of cognitive control at an industrial level and very few systematic approaches truly inspired by biological processes, from the perspective of control engineering. The main goal is the development of a method for designing artificial cognitive control architecture is focused on four key areas: i) self-resilience and self-organization capabilities ii) portability and scalability based on low-cost computing platforms; iii) connectivity based on middleware; and iv) model-driven approaches. Facilities of GAMHE will enable the experimental verification of the developed methodology. |
RESEARCH GROUP DESCRIPTION | The Group of advanced Automation of Machines, Highly complex processes and Environments (GAMHE) is a leading research group with a focus on conjunctive and synergetic approaches for “engineering the intelligence” , with on-going EU and national projects and strong relationship with the industrial sector in areas such as manufacturing, transportation and energy. |
