|SHORT DESCRIPTION||The main academic objective is to provide a suitable and high-level training to engineers who are going to carry out their profession in this branch of engineering, specifically in the field of complex organizations with management responsibilities and organizational redesign, providing them with the knowledge necessary to develop innovative technologies and systems for efficient and sustainable use.
The training of the organizational engineer must take into account that his/her professional work will be developed in the design, implementation and operation of organizations of all kinds, particularly in the production systems. These tasks of the organizational engineer must conform to a double set of rules, rules and procedures relating to both technology and organization, and the convergence of both, technology and organization, which determines the work space of the organizational engineer.
It is designed to train organizational engineers to be capable of applying quantitative techniques and methods of data analysis for the design and implementation of innovative solutions in organizations and productive systems that must operate in a network in a increasingly interconnected and digital world.
The MIO has recently been redesigned to adapt it to the new circumstances in which industries, companies and organizations of all kinds operate, posing no only new challenges but also enormous opportunities for creativity and innovation.
The MIO is articulated around four modules:
-Business decisions: fundaments and techniques
– Innovation in an interconnected world: technology and networks
-Projects and operations in the global economy
-Leadership and management of key resources
