|SHORT DESCRIPTION||The aim is to train software engineers so that they can respond to the current needs of the area of software development.
Software has become an extremely important element in a growing number of products that are produced today. There has been a shift in development costs from hardware design and implementation to building software solutions. This situation has revealed the need to be able to develop software products with the appropriate functionality and quality, within both deadlines and the budget.
The European Master’s degree in Software Engineering is designed to respond to these challenges by training software engineers in advanced discipline concepts that cover all aspects of software development, from business-to-technical management and a development perspective.
The program is organized around a series of compulsory subjects as well as optional seminars. Compulsory subjects cover a broad base and include certain advanced topics that are currently in great demand by the software development industry. On the other hand, the compulsory subjects ensure a common basis for all students. The optional subjects allow specialization in specific aspects and thus increase the attractiveness for possible future employers. All subjects are designed to combine the state of the art in research with the current state of practice in the company. These aspects are reinforced by the fact that the university carries out avant-garde research in the areas of all compulsory subjects, in alignment with the main companies of the sector.
The next edition will start in September 2018. It takes place mainly in Madrid.
